Hey all,

I am supposed to convert a tab separated table (with spanning rowwise /
column wise) to XML. Before I try to take on the mamoth task, I was
wondering if:

a) Any one has any suggested method of approach: Should I count all the tabs
(rowwise and column wise) and start doing something?
b) If there is any already available source code to convert such tables to
CALS (I wish!)

The typical tables are separated by tabs and paragaph returns. They are
actally the normal tables in word converted to text (tap separated).

If something is already there, I need not reinvent the wheel (or try to).

Thanks,
Vince

The better place to ask this would be the XML or XSL newsgroup, really. I
imagine this has been done so many times that the folks there can point
you to a ready-made solution.
