Problem executing macros from global template

After creating a new template in Word 2002 then saving it
in the word\startup folder then adding it in Global
Templates and Add-ins I can access the custom toolbar in
any new document.  But, when I access any control that uses
a macro it says "compile error in hidden module:
modulename."  It works before saving it as a template.
What is happening?

THANKS!

G'day "Arlan" <Arlan@discussions.microsoft.com>,

Load said global, use Tools > Compile and it will take you to the
syntax error.

It seems that the problem is that the reference to the MS DAO object
disappears when it is saved as a template.  Is this a feature (AKA bug) in
VBA or is there something more basic that I am missing?

A reference shouldn't disappear when you simply save a template. Are you
certain you're setting the reference with the focus in the correct project?

You say "when IT is saved as s template". What is "IT"?

G'day "Arlan" <Arlan@discussions.microsoft.com>,

Keep a dummy userform in your project.
