I would like the formula to find "by" bold it then bold Straight Strike,

then do the same to the others I have over 2 hundred of them .

You don't need a macro.
Try Edit>Replace>More>Use Wildcards
Type: by*,[0-9]{3} in find what
Type: ^& in replace the press CTRL+B
Press replace all.

You are welcome. I see now that you had two commas in you string. That is
why it didn't work as I first suggested.
