My thanks to Doug Robbins whose Calendar Macro (VBA general on
7/5/2003) was something I had long searched for.  It works perfectly,
producing a table-based calendar for a full year in a Word document.

However, when it is printed out, there is no sign of the table's grid
lines - rather essential in a calendar!  Moreover, even Print Preview
is bereft - not a conventional table cell anywhere!

Thinking that perhaps it was a case of "Hidden Grid lines", I clicked
the Table Menu and was surprised to see "Hide Grid Lines", indicating
that Word recognises the calendar as a table with grid lines and offers
to hide them.

Does anyone know how I can conjure into existence the grid lines so
obvious on screen but so absent in the printout?

Much obliged.

Robert.

What prints is the borders, not the grid lines.  There is nothing in the
macro to turn them off and they usually on by default.  You can reapply them
by selecting the table and use Format>Borders and Shading.

Thanks again Doug. I rarely deal with tables and had not realised the
distinction between grid lines and cell borders. My computer now
reproduces your splendid Calendar perfectly.
(So no excuse for forgetting birthdays now, @!#&$ it !)

Sincerely,
Robert.
