I may be asking this question on the wrong newsgroup. If I
am, please point me in the right direction.

I sometimes save web pages by clicking on "File" and "Save
As...". On my old computer using Windows 2000 I was later
able to edit that saved page (delete ads, photos, etc.) by
clicking on "File" and then "Edit with Microsoft Word".

I have a new computer using XP. Now when I click on "File"
to edit a saved web page, I see "Edit with Notepad". No
option to edit with Microsoft Word. When I click on
the "Notepad" option the only thing that comes up is the
HTML of the saved page.

Do any of you know how I can change the "Edit with
Notepad" to "Edit with Microsoft Word"?

Thanks,
Dianne

I haven't a clue how to change the "html edit options" while right-clicking
on a file. Likely something made in the registry or file associations.

You may however, OPEN Ms Word and then chose:
File/ Open/ select file you desire
and edit till your heart is content :-)

You should keep in mind that some HTML which the page designer did not
intend to shine through is exposed in Word during this process.
