I have saved a page as *.mht file in Word 2003 and want to insert a Web
Component, but the choice is dimmed on the Insert menu. All help
appreciated.

I have this same problem.  I tried going to the options menu and web
options and unchecking the box that disallows features if you are
designing for an older browser.  I also set it so that I was designing
for IE 6.0 or better on that same options page.  No luck, the "web
component" is still greyed out.
Please help!
