I've got an XML file with a DTD and XSLT referenced. I'd
like to open it in Word and view as a Web page (which I
can successfully do by choosing to view the document
according to the referenced .xsl). I'd then like to be
able to edit the XML file while in this view and save
back as XML (to keep all of the data). However, I have
not been able to do this.

Do you need to use a schema rather than a DTD?

Can you edit according to the applied XSLT view and then
save the XML file - data only?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi TLR,

You may want to also post this in the Office XML newsgroup
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.office.xml
Word 2003 has two versions when it comes to XML.  If you're
using the Office 2003 Professional Edition Word or Word 2003 standalone you'll be able to do more than you can with the Word 2003
edition that is in the Basic, Standard or Student/Teacher's Editions.
