I am having trouble with Word2000 thinking that it needs
to change the URL addresses in the webpages I maintain
from a forward slash to backward slash.  Word97 keeps the
proper format of http://www.xyz.com/sample but Word2000
wants to convert to http:\\www.xyz.com\sample.  It may
look correct when I am in Word2000 but when you get to the
website one finds that the backward slashes are there.
Obviously there is a setting or something in Word2000 that
I am missing.  Any suggestions of what to change in
Word2000? Thanks.

Hi Charlie,

The slash issue was a bug in Word 2000 that wasn't corrected
until Word 2002.  There was a utility that was created
to correct the HTM files, but it appears that it is
no longer available, at least on the author's website
