After I save a Word doc as an html doc I cannot then edit
the html doc with Word, although that option appears on
the edit menu of the html doc in question.

Hello Ralph,
It's beyond my minimum comprehension abilities as to
why a body would use Word to create web pages. It's beyond my maximum
comprehension abilities as to why a body would use Word to either view web
pages or edit html? And yet I see all three daily :-((

The only setting that I'm aware of within Word the effects HTML editing is:
Tools / Options / General / Web Options / Files / Check if Word is the
Default editor for all other web pages / Tick/check / ok yourself out.

Hi Ralph,

What version of Word are you using and are
you trying to edit the HTML source from the
web page or edit it as you would a .DOC file
(visually)?

What happens exactly when you try to reopen
a Word created .HTM file? (for example, if you
get an error message what is the exact message
and what steps are you using).
