saved xp word web page keeps closing in IE

I built a web page in office xp and it does not happen
always, but sometimes when i try to open it with IE it
starts to open and then just closes.

Anyone got a clue why?

This happens before they are posted onto a server, its
while they are being worked on.

Too many assumptions to provide assitance.
If the pages function as desired once they are uploaded, than the pending
issues can only be a local configuration problem?
Are you attempting to link to an active link which requires an http
connection when you are not connected?
Are you attempting to link to a software (ActiveX, Java, PHP, ASP, Flash)
which is not on your local machine and requires http?

How about uploading the page and providing the URL?
It's the only way the page problems may be viewed or determined!

It must be something with my pc configuration. There must
be an opening tag that IE does not like that makes it
shut down when i try to preview it, what Im not sure. I
dont have access to my works server at home, only at
work. I do rough drafts at home, then build them at work
to upload through cute/ftp onto the boards server. Thanks
for your help...
