Thanks, I found that plus a message about saving the page
as web page filtered. I use Word 2003 and there didn't
appear to be anything on the download page.
Tried to save the pages was web page filtered and that
seemed to cure the cursor/hand problem but the quality of
the graphics really went down.
Other suggestions?

The quality of the graphics went down because you likely have them embedded
with VML.
Tool / Options / General / Web Options / Pictures / Un-tick (check); both
RELY on VML and ALLOW Png. / OK yourself out.
The result will be that you will need to upload the images into the SAME
folder as you web page and provide LINKS (relative are best) to the images
in your page. Having made SURE, PRIOR to starting that, the images are in
the same folder as the intended page to be created.
