Hi all,
I need a feature in Word 2003 document such
that if I place a link in it. Once we click on it, it
should show the information at the same place. If we
click on the link again, it should hide/shrink(no
information).

This is a feature just like in web-pages or office
help where we click on a term, it gives the definition at
the same place.

Any help will be appreciated.

Those are called "alt tags" im html.
If your reference is to alt tags in Word created web pages than it should be
possible from within Word. If not, Use NotePad and insert your alt tags in
the after source.

If your desire is to include alt tags in a non-web page Word Doc, one of the
MVP's will need to assist you.

Hi Wineat,

When you're view Office help files those are HTML-help and
it's the IE browser that's actually doing the work to display
things.

If you're looking to do something similar to looking at the
FAQs on http://microsoft.com/office/solutions/accelerators/scorecards/faq.mspx
Javascript is used on that page.  You can insert Javascript
in Word created web documents but it's only functional when
you use File=>Web Page Preview or other method of using the
browser to look at the page.

In Word you can use hidden text or tooltips or hyperlinks
or forms to do something along those lines .
