Word2003 is a new world record in bloatware These "useful xml-features" totally prevent me from doing the simplest editing to actual xml-file!!! I'm so mad I could actually go and beat some sense into those Redmond-dumb-heads!! ...And I live on the other side of the globe!! Aaargh... - I just can't believe i paid some hard earned money for this piece of crap software!!! So tell me please: How do I get rid of the XML-formatting and view .xml as TEXT ?? thanks, Jussi now breathing slowly, really trying to find some peace of mind...;) ok... rename to .txt open in notepad remove the xml-header on the first line save open in word do whatever save open in notepad put back the header save phew... hard time... fighting off "the features"... A checkbox on the "File > Open" dialog for that option would make more sense than hiding it with "General" options... :-/ Klaus So WHY can I open a webpage in the IE and then select "edit in Word" and it opens up fine yesterday...
