We want to create a link on our web page so when you click on it - if you
have MS Word it will open.  Currently Word is opening in a browser window,
how do we get the program to open?

Any ideas?

The ONLY way this is possible is that you use Word for your browser.
( Why not, folks believe Word is capable for everything between changing
diapers and shingling the roof! [tongue-in-cheek])

The internet works with browsers and their are not any capabilities to force
a visitor to do something their browser is not configured for.

Hi Erika,

Whether Word opens a doc file or offers it as a save
option is going to be a choice of the website visitor.

If Word is open in the browser you can use the toolbar
icon to switch to the regular Word interface.
