When I put html into the word document and preview it as
a web page, it shows the text of the html. Same thing if
I save it as a web page file and view it with IE6.0  Am I
doing something wrong?

Hi Nellie,

Word 97 was the last version of Word that let you
place HTML code into the body of a Word document that
would then 'melt' it from the document into the
HTML source code.  You'll need to use View=>HTML source
if you're viewing an HTML file or
Tools=>Macro=>Microsoft Script Editor (optional install)
if you're in a .DOC file and add your HTML there if
you want to do it inside of Word.
