The basic approach would be link to a Word document (.doc) file.  The app used to open that document (Word, WordPad, Open Office,
Wordviewer) etc would depend on the installed software on the web page visitor's computer that has been setup to 'open' Word .doc
files.

i tried that but the thing is that when u do that
a window will pop-up and ask u if u want to save the document / open it
and i dont want it 2 b this way...
sure, u can change a reg-key so that it wont ask u what to do and immidiatly
open the document but the it will open it in windows explorer and not in the
application
im sure there is a way to open winword / any app by using links...
i just dont know how!!!
its important for my company to do that so i will really appreciate ur help

The 'popup' is based on the way the File Association in Windows is setup on the computer of the person visiting the website and also
a number of
firewall/security/privacy packages, including Microsoft's will also pop up a warning on files that are not HTML (web pages).

The settings in Windows Explorer for File association (likely for a .doc file in your scenario) is one you can set on your computers
to have a default action of open, (not considered 'safe' by many today, but you can't normally override the computer settings of
visitors to your site and force them to have Word run. This article goes into a bit of technical details on what you may be able to
do.
