When ever I try to highlight and delete a group of words I get the below
mentioned prompt:
“Delete Block? No (Yes)”
How do I turn off this delete block confirmation?

Also ‘Ctrl-home’ does not take me to the top of the page; instead it
gives another window with a heading “Find and Replace” with a the
subheading of  “Find, Replace and Go To”
How do I get the cursor to go to the top of the page with ‘Ctrl-home’?

All help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Go to Tools > Options > General and uncheck both options that mention
WordPerfect.
