I have been searching for a way to limit the number of
symbols in an xy plot.  When I have a couple of columns of
several hundred points that I want to plot on the same
chart, I need a way to differentiate them in black and

Using Office XL.  I am copying graphs from Excel to a Word
document.  The copy command does pick-up the graph area
and pastes over to Word.  However, consistently it will
drop one or two legends/text boxes in the copying

What reason could there be for the chart button to be
greyed out when trying to create a pie chart from a series
of highlighted numbers?
It's a shared Excel 2000 workbook.

Is there a way to plot scattergrams in Excel? What I mean by
scattergrams (or are they called dot plots?) are plots which similar
to box-whiskers-plots but instead just plot the values and maybe the

I am working on adding a trendline to a line chart in excel.  Currently,
I am using Microsoft Excel 2000.  I cannot seem to view the data points
for the trendline, only the data points for the lines that I am
