Does anyone know how I can create a step line chart without having to have 2 data points per x-axis point.  What I want is a horizontal line until the next data point and then I want the line to go vertical.

I have stock data in excel which I'd like to chart using
the high low close option. Problem is that the data

Col B has numbers relevant to each year.  Sales, taxes, inventory, whatever.

In an area chart I want five color bands across the chart,
over which a single line series is plotted.  The Y axis is
set Minimum 70%, Maximum 115%. The area series are:
