Create new series (on the same chart) for every change of values in a combobox15 Apr 2005 00:08 GMT5
Just a little variation over the theme of the 3ad of last week:
I've got a *scatter* chart that takes values from cells A1:B100
In C1 and in D1 I've got two combobox (created with data validation method),
each one allows me to choose 4 different parameters. By changing these
Dynamic series range from AutoFilter13 Apr 2005 16:22 GMT5
Hi All......

sheet, will go to AA9 and AE9 as the first cells in Series1 and Series2
sources...that works fine, except I never know where the bottom of the column
watermarking charts12 Apr 2005 21:56 GMT3

insert data into chart12 Apr 2005 14:29 GMT2
I have a chart that refers to a certain range (for the sake of arguement,
let's say "A1:C5") for its source data.
I now want to insert more data.  Say before row 2.  So I do a row insert,
then add my data.  So now the range the chart SHOULD look at is A1:C6.  But
Different width of columns (series) in clustered charts12 Apr 2005 13:00 GMT2
Using Excel 2000, does anyone know if it is possible to have the columns for
each of 2 different data series be of different widths?
Rather than have the columns for each side-by-side, I wanted to have them on
top of each other, but with the “top” series narrower 5than the other ...
How do I hide 0 values in line charts12 Apr 2005 12:56 GMT2
I have several columns with data. In one column I do not have data for every
row. In the line charts, those "zero" values are plotted and connected with
the previous data point. Instead I would rather have a broken line.
Chart Legend11 Apr 2005 22:45 GMT4
I have charts with several series and the legend shows all
series. Is there a way to delete one or more series only
from the legend, but still have the data for those series
still show on the chart?
y-axis labels11 Apr 2005 22:30 GMT1
The ends of my y-axis labels are always cut off when I am making a graph in
either Excel or PowerPoint.  I usually add an extra period at the end of my
label just to get the entire label I want to appear, but often it results in
half of the extra period being displayed also, ...
How do I format cells from numerical dates to text month in a dif.11 Apr 2005 21:51 GMT4

scatter plot & label for a data point11 Apr 2005 18:37 GMT3
I wrote this question several days ago, but was not able to get a solution to
the problem.  Apologies for repeating it, but I am still hopeful that someone
knows how to do this.  It seems like an important aspect of using charts, and
Excel *certainly* must have a way of dealing ...
Scatter Charts11 Apr 2005 17:54 GMT1
I am trying to do a simple scatter chart where one column of numbers
represents the series for the X-axis and another represents the y-axis and
the plots are the combined points.
I would like to assign a label to each point to make them easily
Automatic backup copy11 Apr 2005 16:57 GMT2
Is there an automatic backup copy functionality in excel?  I know there
is an automatic recovery feature, but I can't find an auto backup.  I'm
looking for a function, like in word, that automatically creates a
backup copy of your file.
How do I create a timeline using people and their years of birth .11 Apr 2005 16:12 GMT1
I want to create a timeline to show when persons were born and when they
died. I can then compare their life spans.
How do I change the size of Value Axis Title box for an Excel Cha.11 Apr 2005 15:36 GMT1
The title box cannot be sized. I must reduce the font to very small to
prevent truncating the title.
I would have thought I could drag the box to the size I wanted but I do not
get the chance to do so.
Three items, column and line chart11 Apr 2005 15:06 GMT2
I have data for the quarter that looks like this:
