What software could I use to create different types of charts/graphs other
than Excel. Or, is there an advanced course on creating charts in Excel

Generally error bars (standard deviations) vary point-by-point in a graph

I am looking for a tool or product where I can convert sales figures from an
excel spreadsheet to a map of the United States you can click on each state
for figures/statistics for each state.  Any suggestions out there?

I am trying to put together an attendence register for some students, th

Any ideas why Excel won't let me resize my plot area or legend, etc.?  I can
get the double arrow handles to show up, but they won't work.

I'm trying to dynamically create some charts that move by date.  I would like
to also be able to change the scale of the axis.  Basically, I want the max
value +10 and the min value -10.  Is there a way to change the axis values by
linking to a cell instead of entering a value?

In a line chart, Excel seems to predetermine the category axis - how can I
swap this so that my Y-value axis appears along the bottom?

I have a 3D column chart with numeric values.  My Value (Z) axis scale is
1-Minor, 4-Major, 20-Maximum, 0-Minimum.  My highest value isn't really 20.  
I need it to reflect an infinite value (a break in the bar).  How is that

Does anyone have an opinion on the currently best chart plotting
software for layout/publishing?   We need to produce lots of
pretty-looking charts, almost all simple line and column charts.  No
number-crunching.
