text boxes that label axes in line/scatter graphs09 Aug 2006 09:48 GMT1
I tried to use "SAT-M" as y-axis label, but "M" was cut off (actually went to
second line that could not be seen).  I tried every trick I know to lengthen
the text box, to fit label on one line.

I am trying to make a chart with bars consisting of values from 11 to
5500. There is only the one value above 1300. When you in the same
chart have values 11 and 5500 it is very hard to see the lower values.
Is there anyway to interrupt the scales at e.g. 1500 and then start

I'd prefer not to increase the size of the font...
Thanks in advance :-)
combination chart08 Aug 2006 17:42 GMT1
How can I get a combo chart with 3 series - one as a vertical
bar/column, and 2 series as lines, with 2 y axes?
I only seem to be able to get one series in line format, while the
first two insist on viewing as vertical bars, regardless of whether
Different kinds of data on chart08 Aug 2006 16:47 GMT4
I've been told by my boss that I need to create a chart that shows the
accident rate per million vehicles entering an intersection and the ranking
of that intersection when adjusted for volume.  If I just put the straight
values in, I get a chart with a wildly fluctuating ranking ...
Setting up Macro to create pie chart.08 Aug 2006 14:30 GMT2
I need to create a macro to make pie charts. I have about 15 pie charts to
make and I would like them all to be the same. They use different data though.
I have created a macro which works successfully for one graph.
However I cant select different data. The macro always creates a ...
Dates in Excel PivotCharts08 Aug 2006 10:18 GMT4
Does anyone know why i can't change the date format on a pivotchart?  Have 2
pivot charts running from the same source data - when i created them one
automatically used data format for x axis of d-mm-yy and the other
automatically used d/mm/yyyy.  As they are both part of the ...
Indicating Milestones on a Line Chart08 Aug 2006 09:00 GMT2
I have a challenge that I am hoping someone can help me with.  I have a
line chart showing Test Execution Progress.  This is all fine.  What I
am trying to do is somehow indicate milestones (either as columns or
otherwise) automatically on this chart, eg: when builds are received,
plot log-log with non power of 10 limits for x-axis08 Aug 2006 07:42 GMT2
Excel should allow me to make a log-log plot with non power of 10 limits for
the X axis.
In engineering environments, especially when working in the frequency
domain, it is usefull to be able to plot someting like 20-2000 Hz in a
Stacked Column Chart / Normal Column Chart08 Aug 2006 04:56 GMT1
I have 3 numbers: Sales so far this week, projected sales for the rest of

I want to have a column chart with two columns.

Should allow: "Value (X) axis crosses at *-MINIMUM-* value08 Aug 2006 00:39 GMT1
I think that almost always I want the X axis values and label at the BOTTOM
of the plot.
There is an option for them to be at the top.  Why not the bottom??
MS could put in a button for max or min value.
How do I set log chart minimums and maximum?08 Aug 2006 00:37 GMT1
I'm plotting logarithmic data that stays in a relatively narrow range, so I
need to set minimums and maximums on my y axis that are near each other (e.g.
10 and 20).  How do I do this in Excel?  Is there a chart add-in that will
make this work for me?
