Displaying hidden data on a chart08 Feb 2007 14:58 GMT2
I have a number of data series in a table on sheet 1, and this data is
plotted as an x-y scatter in a chart on sheet 2.  I want to hide a column in
the table, but when i do this the related data series disappears from the
chart.  Is there a way to hide a column whilst still ...
Axis scale on X-Y scatter graph08 Feb 2007 12:50 GMT2
Is it possible to link the scales for the X and Y axis so that the scale can
increase/decrease automatically, but both X and Y always cover the same
range. I am plotting data which is just easier to read if 0,0 remains in the
centre of the graph - I could fix the axis scale, but ...
Chart's DataTable08 Feb 2007 11:20 GMT5
Some times we need to show source data with chart. we could turn it
true by use specific name in axis(xlcategory) or by using source data
's linking picture . Both of these could help us to show specific
series.
x-axis labels desappear if the chart is too big08 Feb 2007 09:01 GMT2
I have to plot a series of small numbers (around 1e-14) in a scatter chart.
The resulting plot shows no labels on the x-axis (excepted for the first
one), but they reappear if the horizontal size of the chart window is
decreased. The smaller the values, the more the size has to ...
Automatic Updating of Graphs08 Feb 2007 05:12 GMT1
I have about 100 graphs that need updating each month and I want to find a
way that I don't have to go into each of them to extend the range manually.
THe source data contains formulas out until Nov 2007, so the source data for
the graphs gets automatically updated when the new ...
Y-asix category with Multiple X-axis values07 Feb 2007 22:51 GMT4
I am trying to recreate a very cool chart with no luck.  The chart has
categories on the Y-axis (think Key Purchase Criteria) with multiple
companies results in a (horizontal) line format (think Company A, B, C, D) on
the x-axis based on values (customer satisfaction) 1-9.
Excel 2007 graph limits07 Feb 2007 21:31 GMT10
Anyone know if there is a setting for changing the max number of points in a
line graph?  I'm guessing the answer is "Tough!" I can't believe that 2007
increased the max rows in the table (from 64K to over 1M!) but still has a
32K limit on points in a line graph!  What a waste!  ...
Automatically have even numbered rows shaded gray?07 Feb 2007 20:49 GMT2
I have a big long spreadsheet (great description!). Right now i'm using the
AutoFormat option to make every other row (e.g. rows 2, 4, 6, 8, etc...) have
a color shade of light gray.
The complication of this is:
How do I make a "fuel gauge" type graph (from 1-5) to show data07 Feb 2007 20:45 GMT1
I want to show discrete data on a "fuel gauge" style chart to show progress
on a scale from 1 to 5.
For our audience, seeing a needle point to "3" is an effective way to show
that we are "half way there" when measuring progress.
Charting data in the same column on multiple tabs07 Feb 2007 18:18 GMT1
How can I chart the data in the same column on multiple tabs?
Double-stacked Bar Chart WITH a Secondary Y Axis Line chart?07 Feb 2007 16:32 GMT1
How can I create a double stacked bar chart w/ a secondary Y-axis line chart?
I've read and understand the "Column Chart with a Difference" example here:
http://people.stfx.ca/bliengme/ExcelTips/Columns.htm.  But, need to go the
step further, to have a % displayed on the ...
How do I set up a chart with the scale as 1a, 1b, 2a,2b, 3, 4, 507 Feb 2007 15:41 GMT2
I'm trying to plot results of our students on a graph.  The grades go 1a, 1b,
2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.  For example, Peter has reached level 3b, Sam
has reached level 1a, Bob has reached level 5.  The chart cant recognise the
letters so won't plot it - HELP PLEASE!
Problem with  custom line chart, lines with two axes07 Feb 2007 13:43 GMT1
I created a custom line chart with lines on 2 axes.   It was supposed to
show date by months in the x axis, number of records in the first y axis,
and percentage of records in the second y axis.   It does show the x and y
axes correctly.
Multiple series not plotting in their respective data ranges07 Feb 2007 08:13 GMT5
I have a price comparison chart (line chart) that has multiple prices for
multiple dates.
Price 1 has a date range of 01/01/07 - 02/06/07.
Price 2 has a date range of 01/19/07 - 01/31/07 (a subset of the Price 1
A tough question? - about surface plots07 Feb 2007 03:51 GMT8
Hi Folks (or maybe Jon),
In 2007 I have a surface plot, first subtype.  I wish to change the color of
the surface and the lines on the surface.  I realize I can make an overall
change by changing the Chart Style or even worse by first changing the
