I wanted to create equation withing chart and use it to develop charts. Currently we are using excel cells (rows and columns) to generate charts. I am looking for equations(say maximum 2 degree) to be inserted into the chart area and use it to generate chart.

I know I can copy a chart, and reformat the copy to show only the gridlines and then overlay it, but is there an easier way? I have a lot of charts that are small size, and it would be easier to see the plot points if the gridlines were on top rather than behind the data series.

I have a chart showing burn rates (fairly small numbers) and EACs/ETCs(Relly big numbers). I have set up 2 Y-Axis, but this stretches the burn rate a lot, so if it changes a little bit, it adjusts the axis and suddenly, a 1% spike goes all the way from the bottom edge to the top ...

I have been sent a workbook that contains a number of charts. when the workbook opens the charts are not visible, but are "greyed out". I have to click on a chart to view it. As soon as I click away from the chart it is hidden again.

What I'm trying to do is have the numerical data in the y-axis charted versus the data in the x-axis and there seems to be no way to do this because all of the charts given just plots the data for both the x-axis and y-axis but not against each other if you know what I mean and ...
