I've got pricing data by product, and want to chart the minimum, maximum and
average price for each product.  How do I do that?  
The product names are long, so I'd prefer to set it up as a horizontal
bar-type chart.

I've plotted minimum and maximum values (prices) for a number of products on
a floating bar chart, and want to indicate the average price for each product.

In Excel 2007, there does not appear to be a chart type for combination
charts.  I an trying to create a line-bar chart with the line on the left
vertical axis and the bar on the right vertical axis.  

e.g. The excel worksheet got 3 columns
Year   Month    (No. of cases happen in this month)
07     01           100
       02            90

I'm trying to plot the values of Y (in column C) vs. the values of X (in
column A), but the chart plots the spreadsheet line number rather than the
column A value, even though the pop-up window shows column A is select for
the x-axis.

Moving to a new wider PC with improved resolution, i need to set the chart
width and length (in centimeters) using Excel2003, but unfortunately i cannot

It is a log for runners. The chart displays only the days that contain
some data.

Over the past month I developed an Excel add-in (which I can't share in its

What the relevant part of what it does:

Excel has the option under
 Tools -> Options -> Chart tab
Plot empty cells has
  - Not plotted (leave gaps)

Help sais: Display cell contents in a shape or text box  
Click the AutoShape or text box you want to link.
In the formula bar, type an equal sign (=).
Click the worksheet cell that contains the data or text you want to link to.
