When exiting Excel 2002 from FILE and EXIT on the menu, the application prompts with the save as window before it will exit. This happens regardless of changes made or not, even just opening excel into a blank new workbook

Excel 2000 had been working fine on a Dell PC with Windows 98 2nd Edition. Now when it is launched, it hangs and Windows complains about being low on memory. Excel can be started in "Safe Mode" on the machine.
