saving excel 97 spreedsheet18 Nov 2003 05:16 GMT2
I work on  file that has several spreedsheets in it and I
only access one of those spreedsheets and add  data to it
after I am done adding the data I click on the save bottom
and I get amessage saying that your file has been saved

I receive e-mail spreadsheet, open it in excel, make
corrections, save it to my desktop, then send it as an
e-mail attachment. The receiver cannot open it (myself
included, I send myself a copy) The error message I receive

Excel 2000 on Win 98
I had 2 large workbooks open.  Saved one, switched to second, Excel crashed.  Now I cannot open second file.  "File is locked" by another user.  Advises me to wait until other user is finished.  PC is standalone desktop, there is no other user.

today, added some entries, and exited Excel.  I do not
remember if I saved it first, but Excel did not ask me if

I can create or access an excel file and then save the
file and exit excel.  Other users on our network can open
the file, but if they try to save it they get the

I have a spread sheet with 25790 records in it.  Everyday
this worksheet is updated and replaced with a new
worksheet. (Number of Records Vary by Day)  I sort the
data with two separate column sorts in two different date

The last three days, I have been unable to close out my
Excel 97 once I have completed my tasks. I get a frozen
screen and when I con+alt+del, I get the dreaded "resources
are dangerously low" alert. I close that as suggested and I

Problem just started... worked fine 5 months up to last
monday.  I have a standard "Commission Worksheet" that has
worked well for me until this week.  I fill in  the form,
save it as..... then try to <PRINT> but no matter which of

When I try to do a save as with file open I get:
"idmxl8.xla could not be found. Check the spelling of the
file name and verify thatthe file location is correct."

and have created a spreadsheet which is about 62 mb in
size.  This is a very computationally intense spreadsheet
