I have recently installed office97 on a new Acer laptop
PC which runs under Windows XP.
If i try to access the Tools, Options menu item, excel
crashs and shuts down.

a friend had bad power supply, so he took his computer to
be serviced. well rather than change the power supply, the
tech removed all hardware components from his computer and
install the components into a new box with power supply.

Message reads:  "Excel.exe has generated errors and will
be closed by Windows.  You will need to restart program.  
An error log is being created."

I got a new Western Digital 120GB hard drive and followed
their instructins to copy the old hard drive files into
the new drive. Things are working well except Microsoft
Office including Excel. It won't run the program unless

I am having to go into Excel 2000 and rename the .XLB file about 3 times a month.
Does anybody know what could be causing this.
Everytime, there is an error that comes up saying excel is running low on resources. When you try to close it out, excel freezes and I end up rebooting ...

When toggling between Virtual Desktops in XP's Virtual
Desktop Manager the toolbars for excel disappear.
Is there a way to lock these toolbars down?

When I activate the Freeze Panes command (from the Window menu), the freeze occurs as if the active cell was H15 - regardless of the currently active cell.  I know this is NOT how this feature is supposed to work.  What am I doing wrong or what do I have to do to correct this

Always receive subject exception when launching excel 97.  
I can sign-on as admin and excel launches correctly.  I
can sign-on and create new valid user profile and excel
launches correctly.  Problem seems to be in user profile.  

I have just updated from office 97 to 2000. All other
office programs work great. When I attempt to open any
saved workbooks, either from exporer or desktop, the
workbook attempts to open but, the worksheets do not

I installed a wireless network and copied some Excel
files to a shared folder which I have since deleted the
files.  I have over 100 Excel files and when I try to

When I am in excel my computer will start filling in the
currect cell with random words. I have run a virus check
