I have recently installed office97 on a new Acer laptop
PC which runs under Windows XP.
If i try to access the Tools, Options menu item, excel
crashs and shuts down.

a friend had bad power supply, so he took his computer to
be serviced. well rather than change the power supply, the
tech removed all hardware components from his computer and
install the components into a new box with power supply.

Does anybody know what could be causing this.
Everytime, there is an error that comes up saying excel is running low on resources. When you try to close it out, excel freezes and I end up rebooting ...

hello all, having a problem when trying to print (or look at print preview) from excel 2000.  i get this

if i click 'ok' to dismiss this error, the sheet prints.  it's more of an annoyance than anything else.  ...

what I've typed in a sheet, invariably the error
message "Program has performed an illegal operation and

Desktop Manager the toolbars for excel disappear.

When I activate the Freeze Panes command (from the Window menu), the freeze occurs as if the active cell was H15 - regardless of the currently active cell.  I know this is NOT how this feature is supposed to work.  What am I doing wrong or what do I have to do to correct this

Always receive subject exception when launching excel 97.  
I can sign-on as admin and excel launches correctly.  I
can sign-on and create new valid user profile and excel
launches correctly.  Problem seems to be in user profile.
