I have a computer lab that crashed whenever you click on anything on the toolbar. For example, you hit the bold icon and it will lock up with the hour glass. I have all the updates installed for Office 2003, any suggestions?

When I open EXCEL, 1/3 of my screen is white. When I go to open a document it opens in the bottom 2/3 of the screen and the top 1/3 view contains very huge row and colum numbers. How do I get rid of this view so I can manipulate my document?
