Spreadsheet doesn't open when I double click29 Sep 2004 17:35 GMT1
I think I have changed something in the Excel 2002 setup. When I double click
on an existing spreadsheet Excel opens but the spreadsheet doesn't. I have to
open Excel first and then do a file open on the existing spreadsheet. Does
anyone know how I can correct this.

This is a follow-up to my previous message with additional information.
I have an urgent problem!  All of a sudden, when I opened MSExcel 2000, it
tried to open many, many files, one right after the other, without regard to
the file format.  It also kept giving a "format is not ...

We are bumping into Excel limits on a large spreadsheet  
The file is about 25mb at the moment and growing quickly.
Here are some questions:

I am getting a PPC Tickmarks error when going into excel, it clicks off

I have a file that has several sheets in excel, office
2000.  There are 10000 records about 15 different
columns.  I did a lot of copying and pasting.  Even after

Edited an Excel 97 worksheet that was sent to me.  Saved
the worksheet yesterday.  Thought I saved to desktop.  
Today, unable to locate file.  In search mode, I found in
WINNT the unedited version that was saved with

I am having difficulty removing the 'read only' attribute from a file and
folder on CD - RW

Windows XP
Excel hangs when opening a file. The excel program opens
however the file content does not come up. I have found a

I was working in an Excel XP spreadsheet when Windows XP
crashed. Now, the spreadsheet says it is in "Group Edit
Mode" and I can't run Solver.
1. What the heck is group edit mode?
