When Excel opens, the file PERSONAL.XLS in program files/../Office 10/XLSTART does not open automatically. However any other file name in that folder will open. And PERSONAL.XLS will open if it is in the user's own ..Microsoft/Excel/XLSTART.

I cannot open excel files in windows explorer any longer. I cannot recall anything happening before this error. I need to open excel, and then go through the open menu to open the file. When I click on the file in explorer, excel does open, just not the file.
