Using excel 2000 various worksheets become protected whilst editing them
i.e. I use & edit for some time then all of a sudden I get locked out & told
the cells are protected. When I go to "Unprotect" it's greyed out as only the
"Protect" option is available.

I have a worksheet with approx 3000 rows by 10 columns of data.
The file has been saved with the Autofilter on and one column filtered.
When I open the file and either turn off the autofilter or simply select All
in the filter that was filtered, the worksheet locks up and I can't ...

I deleted a few worksheets on my Excel then got error message "Formula is not
valid". I tried to close the Excel, got message "Excel can't be closed." I  
didn't lock nor protect the worksheets. But at [Tools][Protection] nothing
can't be highlighted.

My workbook has a link to a file that was deleted.  I try to remove the link
but it says that the source is locked, but I can't find the source because it
was deleted. When I try to copy it in a different way, it still copies the
formula with the link.  What can I do?

Does any body know why Excel crashes when I Copy>Row then choose
Insert>Copied Rows? This only happens on one sheet in my Estimate workbook
and it's always the same sheet. And Excel doesn't always crash. I can copy
rows and insert the copied rows without any problem on other ...

I have a workbook with ~30 sheets.  I copied a few sheets from another
workbook into it.  My header and footer have now disappeared and when I want
to print preview or view the header, an error message pops up:  "No more new

I work for Waste management in the IT dept.  Several users cannot open this
one particular spread sheet but can open others we're running 2000 Pro w/SP4
on all machines.  I attempted to download Office SP3 and the system errored
out, I removed all of the temp and still no success ...

I am aorting a spresdsheet with dates and names and want to sort it by a
column of numbers.  When I sort it gives me all 100+ numbers first then 1-99.
I have tried a million times and cannto get ti to work correctly.

A faculty member at the university I work at has lost a very important Excel
workbook and I don't know what happened.
From what she said, she was entering data in her worksheet and somehow

The MOD function exibits an error.
Start with 8 in A1
Increnet A2 to A32 by 0.1; (A2=A1+0.1) (A3=A2+0.1)

How to print  "scale to fit" & keep font size?04 May 2005 09:12 GMT1
When I print my large Excel spreadsheet to "scale to fit" one page wide, the
print is so small I can barely read it.  I still have plenty of space in the
columns for a larger font.  Why won't it print with a font that fills the
column? I'm using Office XP.
