I have a workbook with macros that will not open on one of my machines, it
opens on other machines running the same version of Excel 2000 / no error
messages just hangs and not responding - re-installed but still having
problem???

That is what the program gives me when I input a formula like KNPV or IRR.

Using XP Pro and Office 2000. Every time I try to start Excel, I receive
"Microsoft Excel for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience."  I updated Windows and Office from the MS
Update site, still the same problem.  I uninstalled ...

When I try and record a macro in Excel using my personal workbook I receive
an error message stating "Personal macro Workbook in the startup folder must
stay open for recording".
it then will not let me record the Macro
