I have an excel file which was created on a bloomberg machine and contains
dde data,with office 2000 it would ask if links need to be updated and if you
say no so you could have the values preserved but when I try to open the file
in 2003, the linked data will become invalid ...

Went in to modify an existing spreadsheet.  The date fields are displaying as
serial numbers.  Had been displaying properly as dates.  Have not been able
to format so field displays as a date unless I format it as text.  Any
suggestions on how to correct?

When veiwing worksheets I only see the default black font.  I can change the
font color, it will type in the color I choose, but when I hit enter it
defualts the font back to black text.
Any ideas on how to fix?  I have already ran a detect and repair hoping that

When using three cell fo a formula on excel (e.g. A1=1+B1=1...=C1=2).
Although the formula is there in C1 it is still showing C1=0. Only when I
double click on the the cell C1 will the result be equal to 2. How do I fix
this? Ithink the formulas are blocked. Please advise. Pierre

sort by a number it acts as though it is formatted as text. (ie text sort =
1,10,11,20,24,3,33,4,47,... vice number sort = 1,3,4,10,22,20,24,33,47).

How do i get rid of the error message "compile error in hidden module:
AutoExecNew" each time i open excel?  Each time i close excel i get a similar
message: "compile error in hidden module: DistMon"  
These error messages started to appear after upgrading to Office 2003.

How do I avoid this error message

I have tried reloading my mouse, reloading office 2000 and alll options with
F8 and mouse wheel, I still can not use Excel and I need it very much to do
my work.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

The pull down menu "Window" does not contain the "freeze pane" or "split"
options.  There is no drop down button which is hiding unused icons.  Just no
freeze pane option.  Can't find anything on web or at Microsoft website.

I don't understand why a cell in my worksheet is diplaying #N/A. The Function
Arguements window shows that the formula in the cell is evaluating to a
number as expected. I already tried removing all formatting, but it doesn't
make any difference. I'm completely baffled.
