I have office 97 running on windows xp , the excel spreedsheet not responding
when we try to type apha character on the spreadshee, eg a,b or c...., the
spreadsheet not repsonding and hang but no problem if we type numeric eg 1,2

Excel problem.
When opening the file on PC w W2K & O2K, no problem.
When opening the file on PC w XP & O2K the error was generated.  (Various
errors appear in file when viewed.)

When I tried to update the links in an excel file, the file would get frozen
and close automatically with the below error message:

Can't open existing excel files. I'm running Windows XP Home Edition Ver
5.1.2600 Service Pack 2, Build 2600 with MS Office Excel ver 10.
1) When trying to open existing excel file the computer looks for XP
Professional, which I've never had.

I have 3 columns D E F, where the user enters a number. ( Any number from 0
to 50)
Then in Column G, I have entered a formula to get a weighted average for
values entered in Col D or E or F

I am working in Excel 2007, and I'm recieving the following message upon
opening a file, "File error: data may have been lost".  The file opens, but
some formulas have been wiped out and "=#N/A" appears in their place.  The
affected formulas use the WORKDAY function.

In One selection - I have given a drop down using validation (list)
If user selects from this drop down - then another cell reflects a number as

This morning I was trying to set up a very simple quotation for a customer
and I find that entering whole numbers no longer seems to be possible.
Let's take "25" since that was the first number I wanted to enter.
It displayed as 0.0025 instead of 25

I have one excel file which takes on 2 computers about 3 minutes or more to
open. There is no antivirus issue (I uninstall antivirus); there is no
network issue (opening from network or from local disk takes the same time).
That excel file has about 23MB because it is shared ...

When I print my excel file, the first line that shows data on each page reads
BOB.  This doesn't show up on the screen version, only on the print version
(and it does show up in print preview).  I can't see anything causing this.  
How do I get rid of it?

I get files from a client that has 2007. In the past I have been able to
convert the file to 2003, I just recevied one and the file converter failed.  
What could bethe problem?
