I.e. syntax for getpivotdata is GETPIVOTDATA(data_field,pivot_table,field1,item1,field2,item2,...) I'd like the data_field to be a reference, but I get #REF errors when I try this.

I'm using Excel 2000 and want to use wild cards.. For instance, I'm using the sumif function and want to put something like =SUMIF(wslacct,"1100550??20",wsldr)-SUMIF(wslacct,"1100550??20",wslcr) and excel just doesn't seem to like this. Is there some way I can get excel
