How do I keep the dropsown list "button" visible even when the cell
associated with the dropdown list is not selected?

I have dates and times i have to add and substract from each other most are
start and finish time except for 1 of them and i'm having trouble with it.  
after i add them together which gives me the amount of hours and minutes the
process took but i have to subtract the delay time ...

Sometimes my VLOOKUP values change in an open spreadsheet when I open another
spreadsheet with similar VLOOKUP formulas.  If I close the spreadsheet and
save the changes without noticing it can jack my report up pretty good.

I have madesome tests in excel for my students.  Is there anyway of locking
cells down so that once they have entred an answer into one of the cells, it
locks it in place preventing the answer from being changed

I am trying to use the countif function and I am wondering, is there a way to
count cells based on the background color of the cell.  For instance if I
have set the background as "grey".  something like
