I have a spreadsheet with a single column of numbers. There are 1000 numbers. I need to perform a count if formula on these numbers if they are above .5. Now sometimes I need to group these numbers in groups of 10 or 20, or 50.

I'm trying to figure out how to have a formula return the column number from a maximum value in a row. I've tried using =column(max(a1:c1)) to return the column number but it errors out. Can anyone offer a suggestion? Thanks
