I'm using a formula
=SUMIF(C:D,H2,D:D)
which sums salaries in column D if the company name listed in column C
matches the one listed in H (autofilled down a list of unique organisations)

I need to keep track of maintenance on certain machines and how much it costs.
Would like to be able to show how much was spent on each machine in a given
month or qtr.
any Ideas

How can i get the double records from one column with multiple
records(thousends)?

Having established a sort order over 3 columns in a file, I find that it
works quite well with no problems.  When I return to that file after
inserting new data, and wish to re-sort to the previous established sort
order, I find that I have to go through the 3 columns again to ...

I am ultimately trying to incorporate these two:
=ROUND(7/(A3-A3),5)
=IF(A3>0.5,A3,"")
I cant get them to both run together though – has anyone any suggestions

I Have a work sheet with two times in cells A1 and A2 in number format mm:ss.
Cell A3 callculates A2-A1.
If the value is positive is displays with no problem. However negative
values  give ######## in the cell.

I am trying to list only the cells which have returned TRUE to the IF
function I have put in.  i.e. I want it to only show these in adjacent cells
and automatically change if the data should be updated.  I'm not even sure

Excel spreadsheet has links to several files.  Can I globally change
relative-addressed links to absolute-addressed links? If not, what's easiest
way to make the change.  Files are not all in same folder.

Have 12 different spreadsheets with filters.  Filters separate employees and

I am trying to automate many of the task that I do with excel.  One of those
tasks it to sort a database.  I've made a macro to do most of the work for me
but one aspect has stumped me.
I want to delete rows in the spreadsheet by what their memeber number is.
