I am subtotaling (using count) a few columns. When the column truly has nothing in the cell the subtotal does not count it. However, if the cell has a formula "=countif(xxxxxxx)" then it counts it in the subtotal - Why? I am so confused and under pressure.

I have twelve sheets in the book called "Jan", "Feb" to "Dec". Now I will use value in the two sheets by this format: Row1 will contain columns, "jan", "feb", and etc. Row2 should be like "=JAN!b2", "=FEB!b2", etc till "=Dec!b2".

Is it possible to make an external file from the contents of a cell? For example if I have "Text acbd" as the contents of cell A1, can I write it to a new file called Text1.txt? If so, can the file name Text1.txt be in another cell, B1 for example?

I am trying to sort a column of data in excel. The cells to be sorted have formulas with multiple “if” and “hlookups” statements. I went through the sort wizard but I do not find the data sorted. Do you know of any limitations of sorting with formulas contained in the cells?
