Is it possible to use the contents of a cell to reference a differen
sheet?

When I copy a worksheet to another workbook, it prompts that the worksheet
has several names already defined in the workbook.
I look in "Insert" "Name" "Define" and see no names listed.  These names
must exist on the worksheet-- but I can't locate them.

I would like to count how many X's are in various cells within a worksheet.

I am building a worksheet that needs 262 columns. It will have 259 worksheets
linked to this main worksheet. Just wondering why the number of columns is
limited to 256.

This formula returns an error of #VALUE when I add the rounding, instead of

I am trying to setup a protected spreadsheet but want users to be able to
merge certain cells. When I turn the protection on I am not able to use the
merge function on cells that have not been locked, is their any way round
this?

I am trying to find a short cut for the if funtion.  Here is my formula (it
takes so long to input and then when I want to copy it to a new set of
values, it takes a long time to revise. Here is my recent formula for on one
of the values that I need.  

=7*(MID(CELL(\"FILENAME\"),FIND(\"]\",CELL(\"FILENAME\"))+1,255))+DATE(YEAR!A1,1,3)-WEEKDAY(DATE(YEAR!A1,1,3))
The above formula will display the date of a corresponding week number
(in this case, the name of the tab) of a particular year (Year!A1 =
