Problem-
I have hit the problem in Excel, that any function that references a  blank
cell destroys the "blankness" of the result. You can convert Null (a blank
cell) to zero, or an empty string, but these are not the same as blank!

I would like to calculate the discount or penalty.
Do you have an elegant way?

I have four cells containing start time(D6), lunch out(D7), lunch
in(D8) and finish time(D9).

Is there a way of "picking up" more than a number or a text with the function
=CELL("contents",c1)
Lets say I want to pick up a name in column A, the header of  column B and a
