I dont actually know what function i should use to my problem...
I want to make a list of different text-cells, if they contain a number.
example
     A            B            C            D           E

I have a spreadsheet that has the date formated to have the day
(Monday) and the date (4/24/05) in one colume (Column A),  I also need
a formula that will read this date and only put the day of the week in
the next colume?

I have multiplied a figure by 30% eg 71.35 to give 92.76 then compared it
against another column with 92.76 in it and timed it by 1 and the answer
should be 0.00 but because of the extra decimal places it comes up as .01. I
s there any way you can use the figure as shown after it ...

what is purpose of validating in particular range?how we can validated some

Excel's help function is not very helpful for this.
To take the 1st example in Excel's help on MMULT, the result is 2.  I
cannot figure out which way or by which method the columns and the rows

Want to increase Interest rate of 10% by 1% every year till it reaches 15%

I made a list with four different types to filter on, lets say, A, B, C and D.

Im new to Excel and was wondering how to do time and a half for an
hours over 40. Lets say A1 is the hours they worked (say 60) and in A
was the amount earned (say at $12.50/hr) how I calculate the firs
40hrs at $12.50 and then any hours after that at $12.50 times 1.5

I have a single cell with 2 option buttons with a box around them...I have
multiple cells like this..MY QUESTION IS: Is there a way to make the buttons

I would like to know how to have a letter generate a number when placed in a
cell randomly on a spreadsheet. For example anytime a P is placed in a cell
it would automatically equal 8
