I dont actually know what function i should use to my problem...
I want to make a list of different text-cells, if they contain a number.
example
     A            B            C            D           E

I have a spreadsheet that has the date formated to have the day
(Monday) and the date (4/24/05) in one colume (Column A),  I also need
a formula that will read this date and only put the day of the week in
the next colume?
I am doing a calculation in excel, I am multiplying a figure by a26 Apr 2006 15:05 GMT2
I have multiplied a figure by 30% eg 71.35 to give 92.76 then compared it
against another column with 92.76 in it and timed it by 1 and the answer
should be 0.00 but because of the extra decimal places it comes up as .01. I
s there any way you can use the figure as shown after it ...

I would like to know how to have a letter generate a number when placed in a
cell randomly on a spreadsheet. For example anytime a P is placed in a cell
it would automatically equal 8
