I want to set up a workbook with multiple sheets.  I would like the document
to open on an index page listing the worksheets the workbook contains.  I
also would like to name the worksheets something besides sheet one, sheet

I am using Excel 97.  I have set the autofilter feature in Excel to the

I have tried to change the calculations in my spreadsheets to automatic from
manual and then saving it into the xlstart folder, BUT this is not working.  
Other users use these spreadsheets and are not familiar with the F9 to
recalculate.

My spread sheet has slowed down considerably, and I've notice on the
very bottom bar of my excel sheet it now shows

I have a set of 6x6 "matrices" in excel that expand out to give 6
equations each with six unknowns (it is a formula for a composite
