Hey guys and girls, I'm new to the forum and hoping you can help.
I have a set of 6x6 "matrices" in excel that expand out to give 6
equations each with six unknowns (it is a formula for a composite
lamina that has the 6 known moments and forces in a column on the left

how do I display a list of numbers in thousands? For instance, how to diplay
123,500 as 124 in a quick way, instead of putting formular of 123,500/1000?

Is it possible to combine IF OR AND functions?  I can combine IF wit
AND and IF with OR but not all three.
E.g. Is it possible to put the following into a formula:
'IF A2 AND A3 = A1 OR A4 AND A5 = A1 return yes

vlookup is returning incorrect information some of the time. The initial cell
it is looking up is a linked word. Is this what is causing the problem? If
so, can it be fixed?

In Excel I want to write a "if" command to look at one cell during the first
part of the month and another cell for the remainder of the month.  For
instance I recieve my social security check into my checking account on a
seclected day of the month.  I want to have the "if" ...

I want to change the format of a cell when a number in that cell matches any
number in a largerrange of cells (50 Cells).

Can I make vlookup work if initial cell reference is a value that is linked
to another sheet?

I am trying to have excel return a value to me based on a number that it
compares to a fixed table of numbers.  See example below (the small x is the
value that I am trying to retrieve, this will be an R or L):

I'm trying to work out the easiest way for the following:
I have a drop-down list with 5 text values in column K
I have a drop-down list with 3 text values in column L
Based on the comination of the selection in column K and column L

If you have two values that equals a certain value, now let says the
value that you have falls in between these two values, how do you get
excel to reconize this and return the correct value?  For instance:
0 to 15,000 = 0

Is there any way possible to get any more conditions because i find it a real
pain only having 3? Any one.

am trying to find a solution on how to automatically generate lists

I want a macro that will check the value in G and if its less than 3 to
delete that entire row and then move on to the next row and do the same
