I have set-up a inspection spread-sheet. I need to be able to insert funtions
without them being figured. ex. I insert +.005. The plus sign disappears.

I have designed a shared workbook in which multiple users will make changes
everyday.  I have gotten some concern that a user may be able to delete the

but is their a way to prevent someone from deleting ...

I'm trying to construct a formula that will count the number of cells in a
range that meet the condition ">x and <x", (which I suppose is two conditions
in one really), where the range just contains numbers.

I have a sheet1 where users will enter an unknown number of items in column
A, and a rating from 1-10 /or/ the letter "M" in column B.
On sheet2, I want to (re)show those items and their ratings in the following
order, based on their rating: all 'M' first, then in descending order, ...

Overview:

Tried to change my cell format to number so as percentage sign does not
appear next to the number.  However, unable to do it - dialog box keeps
showing <Too many different cell format>.  My excel file is linked to many
other files.

Is there a function to indicate if the YEAR of a given date is a leap year.
