with diffrent names based on the data the macro pulls)

I have a worksheet that I keep track of quotes submitted.  I have columns:
Customer, Submit Date, Award Date, Price Quoted, and Won/Lost.  I have
another worksheet that is linked that keeps a cumulative total of the quotes
that are lost.  On that worksheet I have Last Award Date, ...

why can't I see the commas in my .csv file?

Sheet 1 has 3 columns: grade, step, NBS
Sheet 2 has 3 columns: SM, grade, step
I want to add a column NBS to sheet 2 for that exact grade and step, from

I have August 2006 (start) and August 2008 (end). I need the midpoint
between those two months and provided in QTR-YR.

Am seeking assistance. How would I go about ascribing a value to a symbol in

How do you link a cell to another cell in a different workbook?  
for example:
Book1 Sheet1 cell A1 to Book2 Sheet2 cell A2
