Is there a way to retrieve the text content of a cell in the same way that a
SUMPRODUCT function will retrieve numeric content? If not is it possible to
retrieve the ROW number of the cell in a SUMPRODUCT (?) in order to use it in
an INDIRECT function?

I am trying to set up a formula to count the number of data occurances each
quarter. I currently am using the function :
=COUNTIF('Tower Age'!B6:B80,"12/31/2005")
but that only gives me the occurances of that date.

have spreadsheet with error categories which uses a dropdown list the user
chooses from and the error categories are populated with a "1" if my if/mid

In calculating commissions, I come accross #value! message when certain
criterias are not met. I want to replace this sign with 0. How do I do
this? Becuase this error message is in the middle, the bottom line

Hi I'm currently running office 2000 and trying to get vlookup to work
properly.
I have 10 tables which must be referenced from one formula.
The formula must pick which table to use (currently have that working)

I'd like for Excel to return the colomn "name" based on the lowest value in
the sequence.  For example-
Columns are A, B, C, D, E, F, G

We use large Excel files with filters.  I waste time scrolling across columns
to make sure what filters are still on or off.  Is there a feature in Excel
where you can
look to see what columns have filters on them?
