Dear All, I try to use function =Rate to Calculate %  at cell F4                   

I am attempting to help someone calculate her expenses.  In column A she has  
the date the expense occured, in column B she has the type of expense, and in
column C she has the dollar amount.  She has a spreadsheet for each month.

I have an Excel spreadsheet that has 2 colums that the 1 column has a drop
down list in it and what I would like to do is if you pick one of the options
in the first drop down list, then the next column's drop down list will only

I am trying to convert times.  Right now I have times formated like  1:40
and I need to multiply the times by a per minute rate.  
so something like 1:40 becomes = 60 + 40 = 100 so that I can multiply by the
rate (

But

Is there a way to link cell colors?  So if I change a cell color in one
worksheet it will change to the exact color in another worksheet?

Why doesn't the search function on these forums ever return anything t

Anyway, I have a column of times, in this column there are blank cell
(will have a formula embedded in the cell but no results showing).

I am currently gathering a lot of data; I have been referencing several list
that may contain the same information. Is there a way to have Excel show me
if there are any duplications in a select row or column??

I didn't see anything like this problem in the community questions.  I
downloaded the "timecard with breaks" template from the MS site.  The time-in
and time-out cells are formatted to hh:mm AM/PM.  The contents show blank
until a time is entered.  

I cannot get a column of cells to add and give me a total. The cells that I
am trying to add all have a working equation in them. Is it possible for this
to be the problem?
