I was wondering whether there is a function in Excel (or if it is possible to write a Macro) that allows you to change the formula within a given cell to just its value (that the formula calculated), if a certain condition is met.

When I enter a figure into a cell and click onto the % icon, it doesn't simply add a % sign at the end of the figure, it changes it into something else altogether - what is it doing? Also, if I then delete the figure and enter another one, it does just put

I have entered some error checking formulas into a worksheet to ensure the user is aware that someone was missing or entered incorrectly. However, the user must look at the error columns to see the messages (they can filter on the columns for the messages).

I'm using a simple Countif in XL2003 so don't need to CSE it. It fights with a named range and I cannot see why. It worked when I set it up, but the moment I changed anything it stopped. Where am I going wrong? Given a 50-cell range $B$20:$B$44 and $B$56:$B$80 named as F_Shell.

How can I use COUNTIF to count the values in a range which are greater than 0? I put =COUNTIF(B2:B100000)>0 but that didn't work? (I'm using XL 2007 hence the range greater than 65000 rows. But I don't think COUNTIFs syntax has been changed in 2007 so I assume I'm having a brain
